Yeshua within the Christmas narrative Part III

Rabbiton Rabbiton
Rabbiton Rabbiton But Christianity claim that Jesus was born of a holly spirit,
not through sexual intercourse. When Tanach said about Messiah from the line
of David it means biological line, not some Holy Spirit pregnant a woman out
of the blue. Therefore your interpretation above is not correct.

Rabbiton Rabbiton
Rabbiton Rabbiton Jesus destroyed the temple, he did not restore the temple
hence the claim above is not accurate too. Messiah suppose to restore the temple
not destroy. Jesus in Matthew said on the mountain that no one stone will stand.

Don Tan
Don Tan Tanakh says Mosiach will come through the line of David. Nothing more
] or less. Yeshua predicted that the Temple would be destroyed. He did not ordain it.
Secondly, you cannot rebuild a temple without it first getting destroyed. Kapish....

Rabbiton Rabbiton
Rabbiton Rabbiton Messiah & David:

The Tanach mentioned that Messiah must be from the BIOLOGICAL line of David,
not spiritual (you missed this point again as I already mentioned above). When
Christianity claim that jesus was born of a virgin mary pregnant by the holy spirit
– that would not only disqualified him from the lineage of David, and would totally
not sum up as the Messiah from the line of David at all.

Without referring to the Tanach (Old Testament), by just reading the Christians book
new testament – why does the NT has 2 genealogies of jesus (in Matthew 1:16 &
Luke 3:23)? If it is only from the “line” of David NT should not have 2 genealogies
of him.

Matthew 1:16
and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is
called Christ.

Luke 3:23
Now Jesus himself was about thirty years old when he began his ministry. He was the
son, so it was thought, of Joseph, the son of Heli.

Matthew’s genealogy from David to jesus is: David, Solomon, Rehoboam, Abijah,
Asa, Jehoshaphat, Jerhoram, Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, Hezekiah, Manasseh, Amon,
Josiah, Jeconiah, Shealtiel, Zerubbabel, Abiud, Eliakim, Azor, Zadok, Akim, Eliud,
Eleazar, Mattan, Jacob, Joseph, Mary, Jesus.

Luke’s genealogy from David to jesus is: David, Nathan, Mattatha, Menna, Melea,
Eliakim, Jonam, Joseph, Judah, Simeon, Levi, Matthat, Jorim, Eliezer, Joshua, Er,
Elmadam, Cosam, Addi, Melki, Neri, Shealtiel, Zerubbabel, Rhesa, Joanan, Joda,
Josech, Semein, Mattathias, Maath, Naggai, Esli, Nahum, Amos, Mattathias, Joseph,
Jannai, Melki, Levi, Matthat, Heli, Joseph, Jesus.

It is very clear that these two genealogies must be describing two different people.

Don Tan
Don Tan I agree, there is an accuracy issue. Is that your benchmark ? Rabbis don't
know of anyone, i bet. Right now, that fulfills this lineage prophecy ,if any. You
cannot just say that the null hypothesis is incorrect. Who then, among Israeli's today,
would fulfill this coming prophecy, an alternate hypothesis. I say none. Yeshua was
never against empirical evidence. He after all, told Thomas, to put his hands in the
holes on his side.

John 20:24-29

24Now Thomas (also known as Didymus[a]), one of the Twelve, was not with the
disciples when Jesus came. 25So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!”
But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where
the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”

26A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them.
Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said,
“Peace be with you!” 27Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands.
Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”

Yeshua within the Christmas narrative Part II

Rabbi Moses Maimonides(Rambam) 1135-1204 was considered to be the
foremost writer of Jewish Law and Ethics. He was a one of the most revered Rabbi
Philosophers by Jewish Historians. He also pondered upon the nature of the Messiah.

Do not consider it proof just because it is written in books, for a liar who will deceive
with his tongue will not hesitate to do the same with his pen. ~ Rambam

In Grant R Jeffrey's book "Heaven - The last frontier" he summarizes the Rabbi's exegesis

Rambam believed that the coming of the Messiah was the key to the restoration of the
Temple, the fulfillment of the Torah and the coming of the Messianic age of redemption.
"He [the Messiah] will build the Temple, gather the dispersed of Israel. Then, in his days,
all the statutes will return to their previous state. We will offer sacrifices and observe the
Sabbatical and Jubilee years, according to all their particulars mentioned by the Torah"
(Halachah 1:11).

Compare the qualifications of the Messiah, which Rambam enumerated from his study of
the Old Testament prophets, with the history of Jesus Christ. "If a king will arise from the
house of David who is learned in Torah and observant of the mitzvot (commandments),
as prescribed by the written law and the oral law, as David, his ancestor was, and will
compel all of Israel to walk in [their light] and reinforce the breaches; and fight the wars
of God, we may, with assurance, consider Him the Messiah. If he succeeds in the above,
builds the Temple in its place, and gathers the dispersed of Israel, he is definitely the
Messiah. He will then improve the entire world [motivating] all the nations to serve God
together as [Zephaniah 3:9] states: I will make the peoples pure of speech that they all
will call upon the Name of God and serve Him with one purpose" (Halachah 11:4).

In this passage, Rambam has described in the first paragraph the first coming of the
Messiah; in the second paragraph the second coming. Jesus fulfilled the prophecies as
the Son of David and astonished His listeners as a teacher of the Torah Law. In His
unfolding purpose to accomplish the salvation of all those who would believe in Him,
Christ allowed Himself to be sacrificed on the cross after fulfilling this first group of
prophecies. This ultimate sacrificial gift to mankind was anticipated by God's miraculous
offering of the ram to replace Abraham's sacrifice of Isaac on Mount Moriah almost two
thousand years earlier. When Christ returns as promised, He will completely fulfill the
remaining prophecies. He will build the Millennial Temple as described in Ezekiel 40-48
and gather the dispersed of Israel into the Kingdom of heaven on Earth.

In one fascinating part of his commentary, Rambam deals with the puzzle about the
historical Jesus, the problems associated with His partial fulfillment of the Messianic
prophecies and the claims of Christianity. "If he [the Messiah] did not succeed to this
degree or he was killed, he surely is not [the redeemer] promised by the Torah. [Rather]
he should be considered as all the other proper and complete kings of the Davidic dynasty
who died. God only caused him to arise in order to test the many, as [Daniel 11:35] states,
and some of the wise men will stumble, to try them, to refine, and to clarify until the
appointed time, because the set time is in the future" (Halachah 11:4).

This conclusion of Rambam that the death of Jesus proves that He was not the promised
glorified Messiah has been repeated for hundreds of years. However, Rambam makes an
astonishing admission: If the person legitimately fulfills part of the prophecies, but is killed
before completing the restoration of the Temple, etc., he is to be considered as
"all the other proper and complete kings of the Davidic dynasty who died,"
not as an imposter....

Yeshua within the Christmas narrative Part I

Bruce Timpany's caricature of Christmas is an eye opener. As a Christian,
i understand Christmas ,to be, just a celebration of the Birth of Yeshua.
The date places it during the Winter Solstice when Christians celebrated
his birth in-conjunction with pagan celebrations in ancient time. Yeshua

never mentions that his birth should be remembered. He did say he should
be remembered in communion

On the night before his death, Jesus "took bread, gave thanks and broke

it, and gave it to them (his disciples) saying, 'This is my body given for
you; do this in remembrance of me" ~ Luke 22:19

It is a conundrum to me why this celebration is made out to be some Christian
Conspiracy against God Almighty. After all, Allah never told Muslims to

celebrate Eid El-Fitry after Ramadan ,nor did HaShem command the Jews to
celebrate Hanukkah in the re-dedication of the Temple in 165 BC. MB my
Jewish friend pointed Bruce's caricature, narrative, and started an interesting

discussion..

No matter how well-intentioned your Christmas celebration is, worshipping

Him with practices taken directly from paganism is an abomination to God.

Christmas | Origin, History, & Traditions }}}{{{ Dear Friends and Fellow
Servants,}}}

We are living in extraordinary times. Today, just as in the days of Isaiah,
truth is fallen in the street; and judgment is turned away backward. On
every front the truths of scripture are arrogantly disparaged while the
wisdom of man is exalted and received as authoritative, and without
question.Today Contemporary Christianity has not only allowed truth to
fall, but it has thrown truth in the street as a gesture of religious tolerance
and compromise. It has given the adversaries of scripture exactly what
they need to substantiate their claims that what most present as Christianity
is nothing more than redefined pagan mythology. Educated theologians
know that; yet they continue to present a compromised gospel filled with
pagan tradition that never had anything to do with Yeshua . There has never
been a more important time in the history of mankind for those called out as
servants of our Creator to confront the philosophy and vain deceit that would
lead people away from our Savior.

~Yashua The Messiah~ Over The Last Two MIllennium Christianity has
systematically laid aside the "feast days of the Lord" and established its own
holidays. Christmas was established to enable pagan converts to come into
church fellowship without forsaking their heathen customs and practices.
Easter is a replacement for the biblical Passover and Days of Unleavened Bread.
Even the weekly Sabbath was abandoned in favor of Sunday, the pagan day of

the sun, supposedly to commemorate Yeshua's resurrection , it took place not
on Sunday morning but at the end of the weekly Sabbath at sunset Saturday).
